Call 1800 262 748Co.As.it. provides a wide range of services that respond to the transitional stage of life, for people living in the Brisbane and South Coast Queensland regions. These services are multi-faceted and flexible and reflect the changing aspirations, goals and needs of younger people, families, individuals and older Australians, including those from a CALD background.
At Co.As.it. our service philosophy which underpins our “person-centred care” mandate, celebrates individual goals, aspirations and personal choice. Our community support programs promote and enhance well-being, health, independence, inclusion and connection to family, friends and community.
Our family and relationship counsellors offer hope, guidance and support in times of crises. The ability to share and discuss issues and concerns with qualified counsellors is vital and assists people to make informed choices that are appropriate for them.
You can access social groups and social activity centre visits as well as in-home social support as part of your Co.As.It services.
For older members of the Italian community living in residential aged care, the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (previously the Community Visitors Scheme) is an integral support service that alleviates isolation and alienation and enriches the life of a person who may otherwise lose contact with their language and culture.
The dementia support officer is a vital link between families and a loved one living with dementia. A diagnosis of dementia is often accompanied by fear, lack of knowledge and inability to cope with the many challenges of this disease. Our qualified and trained staff can offer guidance, strategies and resources that help clients cope with the challenges of becoming either a carer or sufferer.
Community support services are also provided to travellers from overseas who enter the country, often without basic awareness of the differences in culture, climate and environment.
There are many other services that offer practical, emotional and spiritual support and often a simple telephone call makes the difference to the way that our clients cope and plan for their individual needs. Co.As.It is able to meet your needs in a way that is relevant and appropriate .
