Queensland Community Support Scheme
(Under 65)

Support is available to people under 65 years of age who have a long term disability, chronic illness, mental health and other conditions that impact on their day to day functional capacity and their ability to participate in the community.

This program is underpinned by a person-centred, enabling, and capacity building approach to service delivery.

QCSS

This program cannot support people that are NDIS eligible. Individuals will be required to undertake an assessment and register with the Statewide QCSS Access Point who will provide a referral to the best-suited provider for that individual.

There are two support levels under this program:

• Direct Care and Support

• Community Connection Support

Support services have been approved by the State Government to be delivered under a Consortium model consisting of three culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) organisations, GOC Care, IAWAA and Co.As.It.

How to Register

The QCSS Access Point will provide you with information on services available to help you to live independently at home and in your community. They will assess your eligibility and determine the supports you need. Call 1800 600 300 for more information.

Individuals in receipt of QCSS supports will contribute a small fee to the cost of their supports.

Discuss your options

If you find this process challenging, Co.As.It. will provide assistance to access services.  Call and ask for our QCSS Coordinator to discuss eligibility for these services on 1800 262 748.
